Chris Argenziano is a professional guitarist, performer, and educator based in Fargo, North Dakota. Known for his versatility and musicianship, Chris performs and teaches across a wide range of styles including classical, jazz, acoustic, country, and rock guitar. Since 2002, he has been an active figure in the Midwest music scene, performing at concerts, weddings, corporate events, and private engagements.
As a performer, Chris appears regularly as a solo classical guitarist and as a member of the jazz and classical duo Twelve Strings and the acoustic duo A Gentleman and A Scholar. His past collaborations include The Gina Powers Band, Ben and the Beard, Soulpatch Adams, and The Ciro and Topher Show. In 2020, he released an EP with The Gina Powers Band titled Departure. Chris has also performed in master classes with internationally acclaimed artists including Christopher Parkening, Michael Chapdelaine, Phillip Rukavina, and the Minneapolis Guitar Quartet.
In addition to his performing career, Chris is a dedicated music educator. He has taught guitar to students of all ages and skill levels since 2008 and currently serves as Instructor of Guitar at Valley City State University, where he teaches applied guitar and directs student ensembles. He is also a Professional Mentor for Connect 4 Education, providing guidance to students in online music courses. His instructional resources include the DVD Beginning Acoustic Guitar (2012).
A native of Reynolds, North Dakota, Chris began formal classical guitar study with Michael Coates and later studied jazz and rock guitar with Tim Hoffelt, Michael Krajewski, and Steve Stine. He earned his Master of Music in Classical Guitar Performance from North Dakota State University in 2015.
